Second time I’ve used Ben and he was excellent again. I had a leaky hot-water connection to my washer and water was spraying everywhere (a DIY attempt made it worse). Ben immediately understood what was happening, gave me a quote on the spot, and the final price matched the quote exactly. He arrived right at 7:00am and fixed the issue quickly and professionally. He’s been a plumber for 15+ years and owns the company, so it’s great working directly with the owner/master plumber. Reasonable pricing, great communication, and quality work. Highly recommend. 1st review Ben was fantastic. He was quick to respond, up front about his pricing and on-time. I was very impressed by his knowledge and his willingness to do a better than good job. Would I hire him again? Absolutely. A good guy, a good job, and good pricing. Just what you’re looking for in a plumber. And he cleaned up after himself!

Our son just bought his first house and wouldn’t you know it, the first night we spent there, the sewer line backed up and overflowed. On a Sunday morning, we called Whitestone Plumbing. We randomly picked them because they were close and it looked like the owner was actually the person doing the work. In fact, Harley(Ben), the owner answered our call and said he would be there in less than 2 hours. Remember, this is Sunday morning. He arrived early, did not charge extra for a weekend call and quickly found the issue using state of the art equipment. He got us up and running quickly and scheduled a day to come back and fix the problem (roots in the sewer line). That was done just like he said he would and we didn’t even have to be there. Harley was very professional, did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it and we feel his prices were very fair. We are from a small town and have grown to expect this kind of service. We never expected to find this in a large metropolitan area, but that’s exactly what we got with Whitestone Plumbing. We highly recommend this business and will not hesitate to call again for our plumbing needs.

Ben from Whitestone Plumbing was really nice, very attentive and responsive. He got here and was in and out in maybe 20 minutes. It was such an easy experience, and he was just a really nice person overall. He took care of the issue right away and even mentioned he wouldn’t charge me if he wasn’t able to unclog my toilet, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend Whitestone Plumbing!

Ben was amazing! He showed up exactly when he said he would. Was courteous and professional and answered all my questions. He was able to clear a drain that someone else wasn't able to clear. He located the issue (my AC drains to that sink!), worked hard to clear the clog, then showed me how I could do maintenance to keep it clear. VERY fair pricing as well. Would definitely call him again!

Best plumber ever. My instance Whitestone was 1/2 of the quotes i got from 3 others. Previous home owners had installed a water softener and done the piping themselves. It was poorly done, overly complicated and looked like hammered crap. I sent Whitestone pics of the spaghetti install. Whitestone replaced and upgraded the pvc nightmare to copper. As an aside, i don't normally trust service repair persons to be there when I am not home. I had no issues with Whitestone. Would easily give them the key and let them work when I wasn't home. Also, they cleaned up their mess. I have had electricians and plumbers make a mess, leave it, and insist it's not their problem. Whitestone treated my home like their own.

Repiping in Cedar Park, TX

Determining the best route for new water lines is the first step in a successful residential repiping project. We aim to install the new system with as little impact on your drywall and flooring as possible. Our technicians use specialized tools to snake flexible PEX through existing wall cavities and floor joists. If your home has a crawlspace or an accessible attic, we utilize those areas for the main distribution lines. This strategic approach reduces the mess and the eventual cost of cosmetic repairs for the homeowner. We provide a detailed plan of where the new pipes will run before we begin any work. Clear communication ensures that you are comfortable with the process from start to finish.

Removing old, corroded pipes is a vital part of the repiping process to prevent future contamination. Galvanized pipes often contain internal rust and mineral buildup that can affect the taste and clarity of your water. We carefully disconnect the old system and ensure that all debris is removed from your home. Our team takes great care to protect your furniture and belongings with drop cloths and plastic sheeting. We work systematically through the house, usually starting with the main supply and moving to individual fixtures. Every step of the removal process is handled with professionalism and a commitment to cleanliness. You will notice an immediate improvement in the quality of the water entering your home.

Choosing between copper and PEX is a major decision for any homeowner undergoing a full repipe project. Copper offers a traditional, long-lasting solution that is naturally resistant to bacteria and very durable. Many Cedar Park homeowners prefer PEX for its flexibility, resistance to scale, and lower overall installation cost. PEX is also much less likely to burst during a freeze because it can expand without breaking. We provide an honest comparison of both materials to help you choose the one that fits your budget. Both options provide a significant upgrade over original galvanized or early-generation plastic pipes. Our 20 years of experience ensure that regardless of the material, your new system will be secure.

Properly sizing your new pipes is essential for maintaining excellent water pressure in every room of the house. We calculate the specific water demand for your bathrooms, kitchen, and laundry facilities to ensure optimal flow. If your previous system suffered from weak showers, our professional repipe will resolve those performance issues. We use high-quality manifolds or header systems to distribute water efficiently throughout the entire building. Our team ensures that every fixture receives a dedicated and pressurized supply of fresh, clean water. This technical precision is what differentiates a professional repipe from a simple patch job. You will enjoy a plumbing system that feels like it belongs in a brand-new home.

The installation of new shut-off valves at every fixture is a standard part of our repiping service. Old valves often become stuck or leak when you try to use them during a minor repair. We install durable, quarter-turn ball valves that are easy to operate and provide a positive seal. This allows you to isolate specific areas of your home for maintenance without turning off the main water. We also replace the main shut-off valve and the pressure-reducing valve as part of the total system upgrade. Having reliable valves is a key component of a safe and modern residential plumbing infrastructure. We ensure that every valve is accessible and functions perfectly before we consider the job finished.

Pressure testing the entire new system is the most critical quality control step we perform for our clients. We pressurize the new lines and monitor them for a specific period to verify that every joint is watertight. This test ensures that there are no hidden leaks behind your walls before we seal everything up. Our technicians are backflow licensed and certified, meaning we understand the high stakes of pressurized water systems. We never cut corners on testing because we value the integrity of our work and your safety. Once the system passes, we perform a final flush to remove any air or installation debris. This rigorous process guarantees a 5-star result for every Cedar Park family we serve.

A professional repipe significantly increases the resale value and marketability of your residential property in Central Texas. Potential buyers and home inspectors look for modern plumbing as a sign of a well-maintained and secure home. Eliminating the risk of a catastrophic pipe burst provides long-term peace of mind for you and your family. We provide a full warranty on our craftsmanship to ensure you feel confident in your investment. Ben Helton oversees all operations to ensure the highest standards of quality and service are met. We are proud to be the top-rated plumbing company for whole-home repiping in the local area. Your satisfaction is our priority from the first day of the project until the final walkthrough.

Most Common Repiping Questions

Deciding to repipe your entire home is a major decision that leads to many important technical questions. Here are the most common inquiries we receive regarding residential repiping and plumbing upgrades in our area.

You may need a full repipe if you live in an older home and experience frequent leaks or a drop in water pressure. Homes built before the 1970s often have galvanized steel pipes that rust from the inside out over several decades. If your tap water has a reddish or brown tint, it is a sign that the pipes are corroding. You might also notice a metallic taste in your water or visible rust on the joints under your sinks. Persistent low pressure, especially when using multiple fixtures, suggests the pipe diameter has narrowed due to mineral buildup. A professional inspection can determine if your pipes have reached the end of their reliable service life.

Another sign is the presence of early-generation plastic pipes like Polybutylene, which are known to fail unexpectedly and cause major floods. If you have had more than one pinhole leak in the last year, it usually indicates a systemic failure. Patching a single leak on an old pipe is often a temporary fix that leads to more problems nearby. We provide an honest assessment of your home’s plumbing health to help you decide if repiping is necessary. Investing in a repipe now can save you from the high costs of emergency repairs and water damage cleanup. Our goal is to provide a permanent solution that gives you peace of mind for decades. Trust our 20 years of experience to guide you through the best options for your home.

If you are planning a major kitchen or bathroom remodel, it is the perfect time to consider a full repipe. Since walls may already be open, the labor costs for the plumbing upgrade can be significantly lower. Replacing old pipes during a renovation ensures your new fixtures are powered by a reliable and clean water system. We work with your contractors to coordinate the timing and layout of the new piping for your project. A repipe is a valuable long-term investment that protects your newly renovated spaces from hidden leaks. We offer free estimates and clear pricing for all whole-home plumbing upgrades in the Cedar Park area. Let us help you ensure your home’s infrastructure is as modern and safe as your new interior design.

A typical whole-home repipe for a standard single-family house usually takes between three and five working days. The exact duration depends on the size of your home, the number of bathrooms, and the accessibility of the pipes. We work efficiently to ensure that your water service is restored at the end of every workday for your convenience. Our team is trained to handle the process with precision, minimizing the time your family is without water. We arrive on time and stay focused on the project until every new line is installed and tested. You can expect a professional and well-coordinated experience from our locally owned and operated plumbing company.

Large homes or those with complex layouts, such as multiple stories or a concrete slab foundation, may take a bit longer. If we need to perform extensive trenching or specialized routing, we will provide a clear timeline during the estimate. We coordinate our team to work in different areas of the house simultaneously to speed up the installation process. Our goal is to complete the technical plumbing work quickly so you can proceed with any necessary cosmetic repairs. We communicate with you daily to provide progress updates and explain the next steps in the project. Quality craftsmanship is never rushed, but we move with a sense of purpose to minimize your home’s downtime. Trust Whitestone Plumbing for a fast and reliable repiping service that respects your busy daily routine.

After the new pipes are in, we spend time performing a rigorous pressure test and a final system flush. This ensures that every connection is secure and that your water is flowing cleanly to every fixture. We also perform a final walkthrough with you to show you the new shut-off valves and answer any questions. The final cleanup is an important part of our process, ensuring your home is left in excellent condition. We remove all the old debris and packaging so you don’t have to deal with the mess. Our 5-star service commitment means we don’t consider the job done until you are completely satisfied with the result. We take pride in the speed and efficiency of our professional repiping team in the local community.

We take great pride in our ability to repipe homes with minimal destruction to the existing drywall and finishes. Our technicians use “fishing” techniques to pull flexible PEX piping through your walls with only small access holes. If your home has a crawlspace or an attic, we can run most of the main lines there to avoid wall damage. For vertical runs, we usually only need a few small cuts near the ceiling or behind cabinetry. We aim to keep the impact on your living space as small as possible throughout the entire project. You will not come home to a house with every wall torn down when you hire our expert team.

In areas where we must make an access hole, we keep the cuts clean and as small as possible for easier repair. We can often place these access points in closets or behind appliances where they are less visible to the eye. Our team discusses the placement of these holes with you before we start any cutting in your home. We treat your property with the utmost respect and use protective coverings to keep dust and debris contained. While we do not perform the final drywall repair and painting, we leave the area ready for those trades. Most homeowners find that the minimal cosmetic work is well worth the benefit of a brand-new plumbing system. Our experience allows us to find the most efficient and least invasive routes for your new water lines.

If your home has a concrete slab, we may suggest rerouting the pipes through the attic rather than breaking the floor. This “overhead repipe” is a very popular option because it avoids the mess and expense of jackhammering your foundation. It also makes the pipes much easier to access and maintain in the future if any issues ever arise. We evaluate your home’s specific architecture to find the best balance between cost and minimal disruption for you. Our goal is to provide a 5-star service that leaves your home better than we found it in every way. Ben Helton and our team are dedicated to providing the most professional and considerate plumbing services in Cedar Park. Trust us to handle your repiping project with the care and precision your home deserves.

A partial repipe involves replacing only the most damaged or accessible sections of your home’s plumbing system. This is often done when a specific line has failed but the rest of the pipes appear to be in good shape. While a partial repipe is cheaper upfront, it can be a “band-aid” fix that leads to more repairs later. If the rest of the system is the same age and material, it is likely that other leaks will occur soon. We provide honest recommendations on whether a partial fix is a safe and logical choice for your home. Our 20 years of experience help us identify when a systemic failure is imminent throughout the entire building.

A whole-home repipe replaces every water supply line from the main shut-off valve to the individual fixtures and appliances. This provides a total reset of your plumbing system’s lifespan and eliminates the risk of hidden leaks in old pipes. It also ensures that your water quality is consistent and free from the rust found in aging galvanized lines. While a whole-home repipe is a larger investment, it offers the best long-term value and peace of mind. Many insurance companies prefer or even require whole-home upgrades for older properties to maintain full coverage for you. We provide a 5-star service experience that covers every inch of your home’s water distribution infrastructure. Trust Whitestone Plumbing to help you choose the solution that best fits your needs and your budget.

When we perform a whole-home repipe, we also include new shut-off valves and supply lines for every sink and toilet. This ensures that every component of the water system is brand new and functioning at peak performance. A partial repipe often leaves these old valves in place, which can lead to leaks or failures shortly after our visit. We believe in doing the job right the first time to provide you with a permanent and reliable result. Our team provides clear, honest pricing for both partial and full repiping options in the local Cedar Park community. We want you to have all the information necessary to make the best decision for your family and your property. You can count on our integrity and technical skill for all your major plumbing project decisions.

Yes, PEX (cross-linked polyethylene) is a safe, high-quality material that is widely used and approved for residential drinking water. It has been used in European plumbing systems for decades and was introduced to the United States in the 1980s. PEX is resistant to the corrosive effects of the minerals and chemicals often found in local municipal water supplies. It does not leach chemicals into your water and is free from the lead concerns associated with very old pipes. We use only professional-grade, certified PEX that meets all national and local safety standards for potable water. Our 5-star service includes using the best materials to protect your family’s health and the longevity of your home.

One of the main benefits of PEX is that it is flexible and requires fewer joints than traditional rigid piping systems. Fewer joints mean there are fewer places where leaks can develop or where bacteria can accumulate in the lines. PEX is also an excellent insulator, which helps keep your hot water warmer as it travels to your faucets and showers. It does not produce the “metallic” taste that some people notice with brand-new copper installations in their homes. Our technicians are highly trained in the proper installation and connection techniques required for a secure PEX system. We follow all manufacturer guidelines to ensure your system is durable and completely safe for your household’s daily use. Trust Whitestone Plumbing for expert advice on the safest and most effective materials for your repiping project.

We also ensure that the PEX we install is properly protected from UV light and extreme heat during the installation process. When installed by a licensed professional, PEX is a incredibly reliable and safe choice for any Cedar Park residential repipe. We take the time to explain the benefits of different PEX types to help you feel comfortable with your choice. Our goal is to provide a modern plumbing system that enhances your life and protects your home’s value for years. Ben Helton has built our reputation on providing honest answers and elite technical service to every neighbor we help. If you have any concerns about water quality or piping materials, we are here to provide clear and professional guidance. You can rely on us for the best plumbing and material expertise available in the Central Texas region.

A standard whole-home repipe focus primarily on the pressurized water supply lines that bring water into your home’s fixtures. These are the pipes most likely to develop leaks and affect your water quality and pressure on a daily basis. Replacing the drain, waste, and vent (DWV) system is a separate and much more extensive plumbing project for a homeowner. However, we can certainly inspect your drainage lines during the repipe and provide a quote for their replacement if needed. If your home has aging cast iron or clay sewer lines, upgrading them along with the water lines is a smart move. We offer comprehensive solutions that address both the supply and the waste sides of your home’s plumbing system.

Replacing drain lines usually involves more significant access to your floors and foundation, depending on the layout of your home. We can provide honest recommendations on whether your drainage system is in good condition or needs professional attention soon. Our team uses sewer cameras to inspect the interior of your underground waste pipes without any digging or mess. If we find tree roots or structural collapses, we can discuss the best repair or replacement options with you. Managing both systems at once can save you money on mobilization and permit fees in the Cedar Park area. We provide clear pricing and 5-star service for all aspects of your residential plumbing infrastructure and health. Trust Whitestone Plumbing for a thorough evaluation of your entire home’s pipe and drain network.

We prioritize your needs and help you understand which projects are the most urgent for your home’s safety and function. If your drains are flowing perfectly but your water lines are leaking, a supply-side repipe is the logical first step. We never suggest unnecessary work and always provide honest answers to your most challenging plumbing questions. Our 20 years of experience allow us to accurately assess the condition of both your water and your waste lines. We are dedicated to providing elite technical care that keeps your home running smoothly for many years to come. Ben Helton ensures that every client receives a personalized and professional service experience on every visit. You can count on us for the most reliable and transparent plumbing advice in the local community.

Hiring a licensed plumber for a whole-home repipe is essential for ensuring your system is safe, efficient, and fully code-compliant. Repiping involves the entire water distribution network and requires a deep understanding of plumbing physics and local building codes. A licensed professional has the training to properly size the pipes, secure the joints, and handle the necessary permits. This documentation is vital if you ever decide to sell your home or need to make an insurance claim later. Unlicensed work can lead to significant safety hazards, including cross-contamination and dangerous leaks behind your walls or under your foundation. Your home is far too valuable to trust such a massive infrastructure project to anyone other than a qualified professional.

Licensed plumbers carry the necessary liability insurance and workers’ compensation to protect you and your property during the project. A whole-home repipe is a significant undertaking that involves working in tight spaces and near other home systems. We follow strict safety protocols to ensure that your home and your family are protected from start to finish. Our team provides a 5-star service experience that reflects our commitment to the highest professional and ethical standards. We also provide a warranty on our labor, giving you long-term protection that an unlicensed handyman simply cannot offer. Investing in a professional installation ensures that your new plumbing system is reliable and worry-free for the next several decades. Trusting a professional gives you the peace of mind that your home’s biggest investment is being handled correctly.

At Whitestone Plumbing, we take our responsibility as licensed repiping specialists very seriously for every client we help in Cedar Park. We treat every home as if it were our own, prioritizing technical excellence and customer satisfaction above everything else. Our team is dedicated to providing honest advice and elite service for every neighbor we help in the local community. We offer free estimates and clear, upfront pricing so you can make informed decisions about your home’s infrastructure and health. Ben Helton has built our reputation on over 20 years of reliable service and a 5-star commitment to excellence. When you hire us, you are supporting a locally owned company that truly cares about the well-being of its customers. You can count on us for the best residential repiping services available in the Central Texas area.

During the repiping process, we must turn off your main water supply to disconnect the old lines and install the new system. However, we understand how important water is for your daily needs, so we work to minimize the downtime as much as possible. Our team ensures that your water service is restored at the end of every workday so you can shower and cook. We usually work in sections, completing one area of the house at a time to keep as much of the system active as we can. Our 5-star service includes coordinating with you to find the best times for these brief interruptions in your water flow. We value your convenience and work hard to make the repiping process as stress-free as possible for your family.

You may experience some air in the lines or slight discoloration when the water is first turned back on each evening. This is a normal part of the process and can be cleared by running your faucets for a few minutes. We perform a thorough system flush at the end of the entire project to ensure everything is flowing perfectly and cleanly. Our technicians are highly efficient and move with a sense of purpose to get your new system fully operational. We provide a clear schedule during the initial estimate so you know exactly when to expect water shut-offs. Our goal is to provide a professional experience that respects your time and your home’s daily routines. Trust Whitestone Plumbing for a well-coordinated and considerate approach to your whole-home plumbing upgrade project.

If you have specific needs, such as a home-based business or medical equipment that requires water, we can adjust our schedule for you. We communicate clearly throughout the project to ensure you are never surprised by a water shut-off in your home. Our team treats your property with respect and ensures that all work areas are safe and tidy before we leave each day. Ben Helton has built our reputation on providing elite service that prioritizes the needs of our local neighbors and clients. We believe that a professional repipe should be a smooth and positive experience for every homeowner we help in Cedar Park. You can rely on us for honest answers and a commitment to your comfort throughout the entire installation process. We are here to provide the most reliable and professional plumbing upgrades available in the local area.
