Second time I’ve used Ben and he was excellent again. I had a leaky hot-water connection to my washer and water was spraying everywhere (a DIY attempt made it worse). Ben immediately understood what was happening, gave me a quote on the spot, and the final price matched the quote exactly. He arrived right at 7:00am and fixed the issue quickly and professionally. He’s been a plumber for 15+ years and owns the company, so it’s great working directly with the owner/master plumber. Reasonable pricing, great communication, and quality work. Highly recommend. 1st review Ben was fantastic. He was quick to respond, up front about his pricing and on-time. I was very impressed by his knowledge and his willingness to do a better than good job. Would I hire him again? Absolutely. A good guy, a good job, and good pricing. Just what you’re looking for in a plumber. And he cleaned up after himself!
The team is great, and the owner/operator Harley, answered my call and set up a time with me on a Sunday! We discussed my hot water heater, and they will also handle my other plumbing needs in the future, including ongoing water heater maintenance.
Our son just bought his first house and wouldn’t you know it, the first night we spent there, the sewer line backed up and overflowed. On a Sunday morning, we called Whitestone Plumbing. We randomly picked them because they were close and it looked like the owner was actually the person doing the work. In fact, Harley(Ben), the owner answered our call and said he would be there in less than 2 hours. Remember, this is Sunday morning. He arrived early, did not charge extra for a weekend call and quickly found the issue using state of the art equipment. He got us up and running quickly and scheduled a day to come back and fix the problem (roots in the sewer line). That was done just like he said he would and we didn’t even have to be there. Harley was very professional, did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it and we feel his prices were very fair. We are from a small town and have grown to expect this kind of service. We never expected to find this in a large metropolitan area, but that’s exactly what we got with Whitestone Plumbing. We highly recommend this business and will not hesitate to call again for our plumbing needs.
I called Whitestone Plumbing for an urgent job for my leaking main line. They showed up in 1 hr and fixed the issue professionally! Great service.
This was the best experience I’ve ever had with a plumber. I accidentally broke my PRV valve while trying to adjust my home’s water pressure and found myself in a bind on a Sunday. Whitestone Plumbing responded quickly and arrived within an hour of my call. The plumber was knowledgeable, efficient, and fixed the issue right away. The pricing was very reasonable, and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend Whitestone Plumbing to anyone looking for a reliable, honest, and professional plumber.
Ben from Whitestone Plumbing was really nice, very attentive and responsive. He got here and was in and out in maybe 20 minutes. It was such an easy experience, and he was just a really nice person overall. He took care of the issue right away and even mentioned he wouldn’t charge me if he wasn’t able to unclog my toilet, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend Whitestone Plumbing!
Ben was amazing! He showed up exactly when he said he would. Was courteous and professional and answered all my questions. He was able to clear a drain that someone else wasn't able to clear. He located the issue (my AC drains to that sink!), worked hard to clear the clog, then showed me how I could do maintenance to keep it clear. VERY fair pricing as well. Would definitely call him again!
Ben helped me cleaned the washer drainage today. He is punctual , professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. It’s rare to find someone this reliable and skilled. Highly recommend to anyone in need of a trustworthy plumber! I couldn’t be happier with the service I received!
Ben is fantastic! Called on a Sunday afternoon and he was able to arrive within 30 minutes. And he also gave me a quote over the phone after I described my problem. Fast and reliable!
Best plumber ever. My instance Whitestone was 1/2 of the quotes i got from 3 others. Previous home owners had installed a water softener and done the piping themselves. It was poorly done, overly complicated and looked like hammered crap. I sent Whitestone pics of the spaghetti install. Whitestone replaced and upgraded the pvc nightmare to copper. As an aside, i don't normally trust service repair persons to be there when I am not home. I had no issues with Whitestone. Would easily give them the key and let them work when I wasn't home. Also, they cleaned up their mess. I have had electricians and plumbers make a mess, leave it, and insist it's not their problem. Whitestone treated my home like their own.
Ben is FANTASTIC! Showed up promptly, was reasonable with his pricing and did high quality work. I already know who I am calling for my next repairs and projects. Great personable guy doing what is right by his customers. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Great experience with Ben! He came out at the end of the day to address a leaking water heater. He got here quickly and did quality work. Highly recommend!
Whitestone is awesome! Our shower would not turn off we had to shut the water to our house off and needed someone to come out immediately. They came out right away, fixed the problem, and were kind and efficient! Highly recommend!
I had the please to have Ben with WHITESTONE PLUMBING come out to my house to see what caused the water leak I had. He conducted his inspection and provided me with an estimate. I will come back to him to replace my water heater. Ben is very professional, polite, well dressed and easy going guy. I recommend highly. Linda
Fantastic experience. I had a plumbing emergency on Sunday and they were able to come out immediately. They did great work, were super friendly, and had a reasonable price. I love supporting local businesses and plan on using Whitestone Plumbing for all my future plumbing needs!!
Had a small indoor plumbing issue, and despite the lack of urgency, Whitestone Plumbing was able to get us in same day, within a few hours of calling. They gave us a very fair price. Our issue was fixed in minutes. I could not be happier; would recommend and will use again in the future.
Fantastic service. Called on a Friday afternoon and was at the front door in less than 30 minutes. Fixed my problem quickly and effectively with great communication. Would definitely recommend. Will be using Whitestone in the future.
10/10 top notch service from a locally owned business. Had an emergency water heater replacement after our old one went kaput. Ben is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, honest and kind. He gave us great tips on proper maintenance to get the most out of our new water heater and was happy to answer all of our questions. He made sure all questions were answered before he left. We are very confident with Ben’s work and will continue doing business with Whitestone plumbing might we need them. Thanks again!
Had an RPZ crack by the outside spigot which started dumping water all over my yard. I called Whitestone Plumbing and they immediately came out to stop the leak. That same day they had a replacement part ordered and scheduled for a couple days later. I couldn't be happier with the service.
I called about a replacing a faucet in my spare bathroom. Ben diagnosed the problem and offered a variety of solutions. I would use Whitestone for any job big or small.
Great communication, very prompt service timing and good pricing. Thank you again for your help!
We were experiencing really low water pressure in our master bathroom faucets, and Whitestone came out the next business day. Within an hour, the problem was fixed without using any of the parts they thought might be needed. Very honest, reliable, and happy to answer other plumbing questions we had!
Ben was awesome in about every way! I had a pipe freeze and he came right on over and had it fixed in no time. Highly recommended!!!!!!
We had an outdoor pipe crack during the recent freeze and had water gushing out causing a flood in our yard. I'm so glad we called Whitestone plumbing. Having your water shut off for any period of time can be awful but thanks to them we were up and running in no time. The service was excellent and they were so friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely use them for our future needs. Thanks again so much for taking care of our family when we were in such a bind.
Great service, fast, and keeps you up to date. I definately would recomend to a friend.

Gas Line Repair in Cedar Park, TX
The smell of rotten eggs is the most common indicator that your gas system has a physical breach that needs repair. Natural gas companies add this scent, known as mercaptan, to help homeowners identify leaks before they become catastrophic. Our first priority upon arrival is to verify that the gas is safely shut off at the meter or the appliance. We then perform a comprehensive pressure test on the system to confirm the presence of a leak. Our technicians use a combination of electronic sniffers and soap solutions to find the specific joint or pipe wall that has failed. We never guess when it comes to your safety and the integrity of your gas lines. Once the leak is found, we explain the repair process and provide an upfront cost for the work.
Corrosion is a primary cause of gas line failure in older homes located in the Central Texas region. Moisture and soil acidity can eat through the walls of black iron pipes over several decades of service. We often find that underground lines leading to pool heaters or outdoor grills are the most vulnerable to this type of decay. Our repair process involves cutting out the damaged sections and replacing them with modern, corrosion-resistant materials. We ensure that all new connections are properly threaded, sealed, and braced to prevent future issues. Protecting your home from the risks of aging infrastructure is a key part of our professional service. We provide an honest assessment of whether a simple repair or a larger replacement is the best value for you.
Loose or failing fittings at appliance connection points are another frequent source of residential gas leaks. The vibration of a furnace or the movement of a range can cause joints to weaken or sealant to crack over time. We inspect every valve and flex line to ensure they meet current safety standards and are not leaking. If a shut-off valve is stuck or leaking from the stem, we replace it with a high-quality, durable component. Our technicians ensure that the new fittings are compatible with the specific BTU requirements of your equipment. We take the time to verify that every connection is airtight before we consider the repair finished. Quality control is essential when working with the fuel systems that power your home’s heat and hot water.
Physical damage from renovations or landscaping is a sudden cause of gas line emergencies that we handle frequently. A misplaced nail or a shovel strike can easily puncture a gas line hidden behind a wall or buried in the yard. We provide rapid response to these situations to secure the line and prevent a dangerous buildup of gas. Our team is skilled at repairing both traditional rigid piping and modern flexible CSST systems found in newer builds. We ensure that the repaired section is properly protected from future accidental impacts by adding shields or deeper burial. Our 20 years of experience allow us to navigate these complex repairs with confidence and skill. We work efficiently to get your gas service restored and your home back to normal.
Failing gas regulators can cause pressure fluctuations that lead to appliance malfunctions or safety hazards. If a regulator is not maintaining the correct pressure, your appliances may burn inefficiently or produce dangerous carbon monoxide. We test the pressure at various points in the system to ensure the regulator is functioning within its design parameters. Replacing a faulty regulator is a precise task that ensures your furnace and water heater operate safely and reliably. Our technicians are backflow licensed and certified, giving them a deep understanding of pressure-based systems. We provide a 5-star service experience by addressing both the immediate leak and the underlying pressure issues. Your home’s safety depends on a perfectly balanced and secure gas delivery system.
Venting issues associated with gas appliances can also create hazardous conditions that mimic a gas line failure. If a vent is blocked or disconnected, combustion gases like carbon monoxide can back up into your living spaces. We inspect the flues and exhaust systems during our gas service calls to ensure they are drafting correctly and safely. A secure gas line is only half of the safety equation for any gas-powered appliance in your home. Our team ensures that your home’s air quality remains protected by verifying the integrity of every exhaust connection. We follow all local building codes to ensure your venting meets the highest safety standards for the Cedar Park area. Trust us for a comprehensive approach to gas safety and appliance performance.
After the repair is completed, we perform a final, rigorous pressure test to verify the system is 100% leak-free. We use high-precision gauges to monitor the pressure over a set period, ensuring no drops occur that would indicate a remaining leak. This final step is non-negotiable and provides the documentation needed to have your gas service restored by the utility company. We also provide a full walkthrough of the repair and show you how to operate your shut-off valves for future safety. Our goal is to leave you feeling confident and secure in the safety of your home’s gas plumbing system. Ben Helton oversees our operations to ensure every client receives the same high level of care and technical excellence. We value your business and work hard to maintain our 5-star reputation in the local community.

What Makes A Top Rated Gas Line Repair
A top-rated gas line repair service begins with an unwavering commitment to the safety and security of the customer. The best plumbers use advanced diagnostic technology, such as electronic leak detectors, to ensure every leak is found with absolute precision. Reliability is essential, meaning the company offers rapid response times for emergencies that occur outside of standard business hours. Clear and upfront pricing is a hallmark of a professional service, ensuring there are no surprises during a stressful event. A 5-star provider is fully licensed and insured, meeting all local building codes and safety regulations for every repair they perform. Technicians should have extensive experience with various piping materials, including black iron and flexible CSST systems. Good communication helps the homeowner understand the risks, the repair process, and how to stay safe in the future. A professional job also includes a clean workspace and a thorough pressure test to verify the integrity of the work. Finally, a locally owned business provides a level of accountability and community care that national chains simply cannot match.
Most Common Gas Line Repair Questions
Handling a gas line issue can be intimidating for any homeowner who values safety. Here are the most common questions we hear regarding gas line repair and leak detection in the local area.
If you smell gas, your first and only priority is to evacuate everyone from the building immediately and move to a safe distance. Do not stop to open windows, turn off appliances, or use any electronic devices including your cell phone or light switches. A spark from a simple light switch can ignite a build-up of gas and cause a catastrophic explosion in your home. Once you are safely away from the property, call your gas utility provider or emergency services from a neighbor’s phone. They will send a technician to shut off the gas at the main meter and verify the home is safe to enter. Only after the utility company has secured the site should you call us for a professional repair.
We prioritize emergency gas leak repairs to get your home back into a safe and functional condition as quickly as possible. Our licensed technicians use specialized equipment to find the exact location of the leak within your walls or underground. We provide a detailed explanation of the problem and an honest quote for the necessary repairs to restore your service. Safety is our primary concern, so we never rush the diagnostic process or the final pressure testing phase. Our team has the experience to handle complex gas issues with the care and technical skill they require. You can count on Whitestone Plumbing for a 5-star response to your most urgent gas concerns.
Once the leak is repaired, we help you coordinate with the city and the gas company to get your service turned back on. Many jurisdictions require a professional pressure test and an inspection before they will restore the fuel flow to your home. We handle the paperwork and the inspections to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible for your family. Our team ensures that every joint we fix is stronger and more secure than the original connection. We also check the surrounding pipes for any signs of wear that could lead to another leak in the near future. Trusting a professional ensures that your home remains a safe place for you and your loved ones to live.
A sudden increase in your gas bill is a common sign of a hidden leak in your home’s plumbing or an inefficient appliance. If you haven’t changed your heating habits, the extra cost is often due to gas escaping from a pipe before it reaches the burner. This type of leak is particularly dangerous because it can occur in an attic or crawlspace where you might not smell the gas. We use professional leak detection tools to scan your entire system for any signs of gas escaping into unconditioned spaces. Finding and fixing a leak early saves you money on your monthly bills and protects your property from potential hazards. Our technicians provide an honest assessment of your gas system’s overall health during every service visit.
Inefficient appliances, such as an aging water heater or a furnace with a failing burner, can also cause your gas usage to spike. As these units wear out, they must run longer and burn more fuel to maintain the same level of comfort in your home. We can inspect your appliances to see if they are operating at their peak efficiency or if they require professional maintenance. Sometimes a simple cleaning or a new regulator is all that is needed to bring your gas bills back down to normal. We provide clear pricing for any repairs and honest advice on whether a replacement would be a better long-term value. Reducing your energy costs is a key benefit of maintaining a well-tuned and secure gas delivery system.
Ground shifting in the Cedar Park area can also stress underground gas lines, leading to small, slow leaks that are hard to detect. These leaks won’t always cause a strong odor indoors but will definitely impact your monthly gas meter readings over time. We have the equipment to perform a “static” pressure test that determines if your system is losing gas anywhere in the infrastructure. If a leak is found underground, we can locate and repair it with minimal disruption to your landscaping or driveway. Our 20 years of experience allow us to handle these complex outdoor repairs efficiently and safely for our neighbors. Keeping your gas system airtight is an investment in both your safety and your household budget.
Yes, in many cases, we can perform a targeted repair on a specific section of gas line without needing to replace the entire system. If the leak is caused by a single failing joint or a localized area of physical damage, we can cut out the bad section and install new piping. We use high-quality fittings and professional sealants to ensure the new connection is perfectly airtight and code-compliant. This approach is much more cost-effective for the homeowner than a full system repipe and can often be completed in a few hours. We always look for the most efficient way to solve your problem while maintaining the highest safety standards. Our technicians provide an honest recommendation after performing a thorough diagnostic of your gas lines.
However, if your gas lines are made of outdated materials like thin-walled galvanized steel or have widespread corrosion, we may recommend a larger replacement. In these cases, fixing one leak often leads to another one popping up nearby because the entire pipe has reached the end of its life. We provide a clear explanation of why a replacement is necessary and how it will benefit your home’s safety in the long run. Modern piping materials, like coated black iron or flexible CSST, offer much better resistance to leaks and environmental damage. Our 5-star service includes helping you weigh the costs of a simple patch versus the long-term reliability of a new line. We want to provide a solution that gives you permanent peace of mind regarding your home’s fuel system.
Every repair we perform is followed by a rigorous pressure test to ensure that the new work and the rest of the system are secure. We never consider a job finished until we have verified the integrity of the entire gas line infrastructure in your home. Our team is licensed and insured, so you can trust that the work is being done by qualified professionals who care about quality. We treat your property with respect and clean up the workspace before we leave, ensuring a professional experience from start to finish. Ben Helton has built Whitestone Plumbing on a foundation of integrity, and we stand behind the durability of every repair we make. You can count on us for honest answers and expert technical service for all your gas piping needs.
Signs of a venting problem include a yellow or flickering flame on your stove or water heater, which indicates incomplete combustion. A healthy gas flame should be steady and blue, showing that the fuel is burning efficiently and safely for your home. You might also notice moisture or condensation building up on the windows near your gas appliances during the winter months. This can be a sign that exhaust gases, which contain water vapor and carbon monoxide, are not being properly directed outside. If you notice a musty or “stale” smell when your furnace or water heater is running, call us for an inspection. We ensure your venting systems are clear, secure, and fully compliant with all local safety codes.
Soot or brownish stains appearing around the draft hood of your water heater are another serious indicator of a venting failure. This happens when the exhaust gases are “backdrafting” into your home instead of rising through the flue and out the roof. Backdrafting is a significant health hazard because it releases odorless and colorless carbon monoxide into your living spaces. Our technicians check the drafting of every gas appliance we service to ensure your family is protected from these dangerous gases. We can clean out blocked vents or replace damaged flue pipes to restore a safe and effective exhaust system. Proper venting is an essential part of a functional and safe residential gas installation in Cedar Park.
Modern high-efficiency appliances use specialized venting materials like PVC, which require specific installation techniques to remain airtight. If these vents are not properly sealed or pitched, they can leak toxic gases or acidic condensate into your attic or walls. We are trained to handle the complexities of these advanced venting systems and ensure they are operating at peak safety. Our 5-star service includes a thorough check of the entire exhaust route from the appliance to the exterior of your home. We provide clear answers and honest pricing for any necessary venting repairs we find during our visit. Protecting your home’s indoor air quality is a key part of our commitment to excellence as your local plumber. Trust Whitestone Plumbing for all your gas safety and venting needs.
Hiring a licensed plumber for gas work is the only way to ensure that your system is safe, legal, and fully code-compliant. Gas piping involves complex physics and high-stakes safety requirements that only a trained professional can handle correctly and reliably. A licensed plumber has passed rigorous exams and maintains ongoing education to stay current on the latest safety standards and technologies. They also carry the necessary liability insurance to protect you and your property in the unlikely event of an accident. Unlicensed work is not only dangerous but can lead to significant fines from the city and the denial of insurance claims. Your family’s safety is far too important to trust to anyone other than a qualified and experienced professional plumber.
Licensed professionals have the specialized tools needed to perform accurate pressure testing and leak detection on residential gas systems. We use high-quality gauges and electronic sensors that a standard handyman simply does not have in their basic toolkit. Our experience allows us to identify the best materials and routes for your new lines to ensure long-term durability and performance. We also handle the entire permit process, ensuring that your installation is recorded and inspected by the local building authorities. This documentation is essential if you ever decide to sell your home or need to make an insurance claim. We provide a 5-star service experience that reflects our commitment to the highest professional and ethical standards in the industry. Trusting a professional gives you the peace of mind that your home is secure and your appliances are powered safely.

You can count on us for the best gas line installation and repair services available in the local area.
A gas sediment trap, often called a drip leg, is a small section of piping designed to catch moisture and debris before it reaches your appliance. As gas travels through the pipes, small particles of rust or scale can break loose and potentially clog the delicate valves inside your furnace or water heater. The sediment trap uses gravity to pull these particles down into a capped pipe where they can be safely removed by a plumber. Most modern building codes require these traps to be installed at the final connection point for every gas appliance in your home. If your home is older and missing these traps, we can install them during a repair to protect your expensive equipment. This simple addition can significantly extend the life of your appliances and prevent unnecessary service calls.
Missing sediment traps are a common reason for home inspection failures during the sale of a property in our area. We provide professional installation of these safety components to ensure your home meets all current codes and safety standards. Our technicians ensure the trap is located correctly and is easily accessible for future maintenance and cleaning. We use high-quality black iron fittings that provide a secure and leak-free connection for your gas lines. Our 20 years of experience allow us to quickly identify where these traps are missing and provide a fast, affordable fix. Adding a drip leg is a small investment that provides a high level of protection for your home’s fuel system. We value the details that others might miss, ensuring your plumbing is as safe and reliable as possible.
During a gas line repair, we often check the existing sediment traps to see if they are full of moisture or debris. If we find a lot of scale in the trap, it is a sign that your main gas lines may be corroding and in need of attention. We provide a thorough report of our findings and help you decide the best course of action for your home’s infrastructure. Our goal is to provide a 5-star service experience that addresses both the immediate problem and the long-term health of your plumbing. We are dedicated to providing honest advice and elite technical service to every neighbor in the Cedar Park community. Trust Whitestone Plumbing for the most reliable gas line maintenance and repair services available in Central Texas.
No, you should never attempt to repair a gas leak yourself, as it is extremely dangerous and requires professional licensing and equipment. Working with gas involves high-pressure systems and combustible materials that can lead to fires or explosions if handled incorrectly. A licensed plumber has the training to perform safe shut-offs, precise pressure testing, and secure joint sealing according to building codes. Most local jurisdictions in Texas require a permit and a professional inspection for any work done on residential gas lines. Attempting a DIY repair can also void your home insurance policy and lead to significant legal and financial liabilities. Your family’s safety is far too important to take risks with an amateur gas repair.
Professional plumbers have access to specialized tools, like electronic gas sniffers and calibrated pressure gauges, that are not available to the general public. We use these tools to ensure that every leak is identified and that the repair is 100% secure before the gas is turned back on. We also understand the specific requirements for different piping materials and how to prevent future corrosion or failure. Our team provides a 5-star service experience that takes the stress and danger out of a gas emergency for your family. We offer free estimates and clear, honest pricing so you know exactly what the professional repair will cost. Investing in a licensed plumber is the only way to ensure your home is truly safe and your gas system is code-compliant.
When you hire Whitestone Plumbing, you are getting over 20 years of experience in handling residential gas emergencies in the local area. We treat your property with the same care and respect we would give our own homes and families. Our technicians are backflow licensed and certified, ensuring they have the highest level of technical expertise for the job. We provide a thorough cleanup and a final walkthrough to ensure you are comfortable with the work performed. Ben Helton has built our company on a foundation of integrity and a deep commitment to excellence in the plumbing trade. You can count on us for a reliable, professional, and safe gas line repair every single time you call. We are the trusted experts for gas and plumbing services in the Cedar Park community.
Gas line leaks can be caused by a variety of factors, including age, corrosion, and physical stress on the piping system. In many older homes, the black iron pipes eventually develop thin spots and pinhole leaks due to moisture and chemical reactions over time. Ground shifting, which is common in Central Texas, can also put immense pressure on buried gas lines and cause them to snap or crack. Poorly installed fittings or the use of improper sealants can also lead to slow leaks that develop as the home settles. We use our 20 years of experience to identify the root cause of the leak so we can prevent it from happening again. Understanding why a pipe failed helps us provide a long-term solution rather than just a temporary patch.
Vibration from heavy appliances, like a large furnace or an older washing machine, can loosen gas connections over many years of use. If a gas line is not properly supported or braced, this vibration can eventually lead to a fatigue failure at a joint or valve. We check the support and labeling of your gas lines during our repairs to ensure they meet modern safety standards for stability. Another cause of leaks is accidental damage from other contractors or DIY projects that pierce the gas lines behind walls. We provide expert repair services that address both the physical break and the underlying causes of the failure. Our goal is to provide a 5-star service experience that makes your home’s fuel system more durable and reliable. Trust Whitestone Plumbing for a comprehensive approach to gas safety.
In some cases, a failing gas regulator can allow too much pressure into the system, which puts stress on every joint and valve in the house. This high pressure can force gas past old seals and create multiple leaks throughout the plumbing infrastructure. We check the main regulator during our diagnostic visits to ensure it is maintaining the safe and consistent pressure required for your appliances. Replacing a failed regulator is a simple way to protect your entire home from the risks of high-pressure gas leaks. Our technicians provide honest advice and clear pricing for any necessary preventative maintenance we find during our inspection. We are dedicated to providing the best gas and plumbing services in the Cedar Park community for our neighbors. You can rely on us for expert repairs and a commitment to your safety and satisfaction.
