Second time I’ve used Ben and he was excellent again. I had a leaky hot-water connection to my washer and water was spraying everywhere (a DIY attempt made it worse). Ben immediately understood what was happening, gave me a quote on the spot, and the final price matched the quote exactly. He arrived right at 7:00am and fixed the issue quickly and professionally. He’s been a plumber for 15+ years and owns the company, so it’s great working directly with the owner/master plumber. Reasonable pricing, great communication, and quality work. Highly recommend. 1st review Ben was fantastic. He was quick to respond, up front about his pricing and on-time. I was very impressed by his knowledge and his willingness to do a better than good job. Would I hire him again? Absolutely. A good guy, a good job, and good pricing. Just what you’re looking for in a plumber. And he cleaned up after himself!

Our son just bought his first house and wouldn’t you know it, the first night we spent there, the sewer line backed up and overflowed. On a Sunday morning, we called Whitestone Plumbing. We randomly picked them because they were close and it looked like the owner was actually the person doing the work. In fact, Harley(Ben), the owner answered our call and said he would be there in less than 2 hours. Remember, this is Sunday morning. He arrived early, did not charge extra for a weekend call and quickly found the issue using state of the art equipment. He got us up and running quickly and scheduled a day to come back and fix the problem (roots in the sewer line). That was done just like he said he would and we didn’t even have to be there. Harley was very professional, did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it and we feel his prices were very fair. We are from a small town and have grown to expect this kind of service. We never expected to find this in a large metropolitan area, but that’s exactly what we got with Whitestone Plumbing. We highly recommend this business and will not hesitate to call again for our plumbing needs.

The pricing was very reasonable, and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend Whitestone Plumbing to anyone looking for a reliable, honest, and professional plumber.

Ben from Whitestone Plumbing was really nice, very attentive and responsive. He got here and was in and out in maybe 20 minutes. It was such an easy experience, and he was just a really nice person overall. He took care of the issue right away and even mentioned he wouldn’t charge me if he wasn’t able to unclog my toilet, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend Whitestone Plumbing!

Ben was amazing! He showed up exactly when he said he would. Was courteous and professional and answered all my questions. He was able to clear a drain that someone else wasn't able to clear. He located the issue (my AC drains to that sink!), worked hard to clear the clog, then showed me how I could do maintenance to keep it clear. VERY fair pricing as well. Would definitely call him again!

Best plumber ever. My instance Whitestone was 1/2 of the quotes i got from 3 others. Previous home owners had installed a water softener and done the piping themselves. It was poorly done, overly complicated and looked like hammered crap. I sent Whitestone pics of the spaghetti install. Whitestone replaced and upgraded the pvc nightmare to copper. As an aside, i don't normally trust service repair persons to be there when I am not home. I had no issues with Whitestone. Would easily give them the key and let them work when I wasn't home. Also, they cleaned up their mess. I have had electricians and plumbers make a mess, leave it, and insist it's not their problem. Whitestone treated my home like their own.

Piping in Cedar Park, TX

Water supply lines are the most critical component of your home’s internal piping network. These pipes carry pressurized water from the main meter to your faucets, showers, and appliances. Over time, older materials like galvanized steel can corrode and restrict water flow or lead to leaks. We use high-quality copper or flexible PEX to replace these aging lines and restore your home’s water pressure. Our team ensures that every pipe is properly supported and insulated to prevent noise and thermal loss. Proper installation prevents the “water hammer” effect that can damage your fixtures and joints. We take pride in the clean and organized layout of our piping runs inside your walls and crawlspaces.

The choice between copper and PEX piping often depends on the specific needs of your plumbing project and budget. Copper is a traditional, durable material that is naturally resistant to bacteria growth and can last for many decades. It requires expert soldering techniques that our technicians have mastered through years of field experience. PEX is a flexible plastic material that is resistant to scale buildup and much less likely to burst during a freeze. We explain the pros and cons of each material to help you make the best decision for your home. Both materials are approved by local building codes and offer excellent performance for residential water distribution. Our goal is to provide a piping system that is both safe and long-lasting for your family.

Drainage piping, often referred to as DWV (Drain, Waste, and Vent), is equally important for a healthy and functional home. These pipes use gravity to carry wastewater away from your fixtures and out to the main sewer line. We use durable PVC or cast iron piping to ensure that your waste system is leak-free and properly vented. Incorrectly installed drainage pipes can lead to slow drains, foul odors, and even dangerous sewage backups. Our team ensures that every pipe is pitched correctly to facilitate fast and efficient waste removal. We also verify that your vent stacks are clear and properly positioned to allow the system to breathe. Quality drainage work is essential for maintaining the hygiene and comfort of your living environment.

Piping for outdoor applications, such as hose bibs and pool lines, requires specialized materials and installation techniques. These pipes are often exposed to the elements and must be protected from freezing and physical damage. We use heavy-duty materials and provide proper insulation to ensure your outdoor plumbing survives the Texas winters. Our team can also install sub-meters or specialized valves to help you manage your outdoor water usage. We ensure that all exterior connections are secure and do not contribute to underground leaks in your yard. Professional outdoor piping protects your home’s foundation and your landscaping from water-related issues. We take a holistic view of your property to ensure every pipe is functioning at its absolute best.

Insulating your pipes is a simple but effective way to improve the efficiency and safety of your plumbing system. Insulation prevents heat loss from hot water lines, ensuring that your showers and faucets stay warm longer. It also protects your pipes from freezing during occasional cold snaps that can cause rigid pipes to burst. We use high-quality foam or fiberglass sleeves that are rated for the temperatures found in Central Texas attics and crawlspaces. Properly insulated pipes are also quieter, reducing the sound of rushing water throughout your home. Our 5-star service includes a thorough check of your home’s insulation and recommendations for improvement. We value the small details that make a significant difference in your home’s daily performance.

Professional pipe layout and sizing are essential for maintaining consistent water pressure throughout your entire home. If the pipes are too small, you may experience a significant drop in pressure when multiple faucets are running. We calculate the specific water demand of your household to determine the optimal pipe diameters for your needs. This technical approach prevents the frustration of weak showers and slow-filling tubs for our clients. Our 20 years of experience allow us to design and build systems that are perfectly balanced for modern living. We follow all manufacturer specifications and local codes to ensure your new piping is reliable for years. Every installation is a reflection of our commitment to technical excellence and customer satisfaction.

Ben Helton oversees every piping project to ensure it meets the high standards of Whitestone Plumbing. We understand that your home is your biggest investment, and we treat it with the utmost respect and care. Our mission is to provide clear answers and reliable solutions that restore your peace of mind regarding your plumbing. We use only professional-grade fittings and sealants to ensure every joint is as strong as possible. Our team is dedicated to providing a clean and professional experience from the initial estimate until the final test. We are proud to be the top-rated choice for homeowners seeking honest and expert piping services in Cedar Park. Your satisfaction is our highest priority, and we work hard to earn your trust on every single job.

What Makes A Top Rated Piping

A top-rated piping service is defined by a deep commitment to technical accuracy and the use of high-quality materials. The best plumbers perform detailed calculations to ensure that pipe sizes are perfectly matched to the home’s water demand. Reliability is key, which means the technician uses professional techniques like expert soldering and secure crimping for leak-free connections. Clear and upfront pricing ensures the homeowner feels respected and informed throughout the entire project lifecycle. A 5-star service provider is licensed and insured, meeting all local building codes and industry safety standards for residential work. Good communication helps the customer understand why specific materials, such as copper or PEX, are chosen for their home. Professionalism includes arriving on time, protecting the home’s floors, and leaving the job site clean and organized. Ultimately, a local owner who stands behind the craftsmanship provides the accountability that ensures long-term system reliability.

Most Common Piping Questions

Maintaining the pipes in your home is vital for your safety and the longevity of your plumbing system. Here are the most common questions we hear regarding residential piping and material selection in our area.

The choice between copper and PEX often comes down to your priorities regarding durability, cost, and installation speed. Copper is a classic material known for its incredible longevity and resistance to bacteria and UV light. It is also completely recyclable, making it an environmentally friendly choice for many homeowners in the Cedar Park area. However, copper is more expensive and requires more labor to install due to the need for soldering joints. PEX is a flexible plastic piping that is resistant to corrosion and mineral buildup, which can be common with our local water. It is generally more affordable and faster to install because it can be snaked through walls with fewer joints.

PEX is also much more resistant to bursting during a freeze than rigid copper because it can expand slightly with the ice. This makes it a very popular choice for Central Texas homes that may face occasional extreme cold. On the other hand, copper has a longer track record of success in residential applications over the last several decades. We offer both materials and provide an honest recommendation based on the age and layout of your home. Our technicians are experts at both soldering copper and professionally crimping PEX connections for a secure seal. We ensure that whichever material you choose, the installation meets the highest quality standards for your safety. Trusting a professional ensures that your home’s water distribution system is reliable for years to come.

We also consider the existing plumbing in your home to ensure compatibility when making a repair or upgrade. Matching the new piping to the old prevents issues with different rates of expansion and potential galvanic corrosion. If you are doing a full repipe, we can help you design a system that maximizes the benefits of your chosen material. We provide clear pricing for both options so you can make the best financial decision for your household. Our goal is to provide a 5-star experience that gives you peace of mind regarding your home’s infrastructure. We take the time to explain the technical details so you feel confident in your plumbing choices. Whitestone Plumbing is the expert in residential piping that families in our community trust for quality and integrity.

A loud banging or thumping sound in your pipes is a phenomenon known as “water hammer.” This occurs when a faucet is shut off quickly, causing a surge of high-pressure water to crash against a valve or a pipe wall. Over time, the repeated shock of water hammer can loosen your pipe supports and cause joints to leak or fail. This issue is often caused by a failing pressure-reducing valve or the lack of proper water hammer arrestors in your system. We can diagnose the root cause and install the necessary components to silence your plumbing and protect your home. Our technicians check your main water pressure as part of our standard diagnostic process for your safety.

Installing water hammer arrestors at your washing machine or dishwasher is a simple and effective way to solve this problem. These small devices contain an air-filled chamber that acts as a shock absorber for the pressurized water. We also ensure that all of your pipes are securely braced to the framing of your home to prevent vibration. If your home’s water pressure is above 80 PSI, it significantly increases the risk and intensity of water hammer. We can install a new pressure-reducing valve to keep your plumbing at a safe and consistent level for your fixtures. Solving water hammer is essential for the long-term reliability of your entire residential piping network. We provide honest answers and clear pricing for all of our noise-reduction plumbing services.

Ignoring water hammer can lead to sudden pipe bursts and expensive water damage in your walls and ceilings. The constant stress on your pipes can also wear out the internal seals of your expensive appliances and faucets prematurely. We recommend calling us for a professional inspection the moment you notice unusual noises coming from your plumbing. Our 5-star service includes a thorough check of your system’s layout and the condition of all visible piping. We use our 20 years of experience to identify the most effective and least invasive fix for your home. You can rely on Whitestone Plumbing for a fast, reliable, and professional response to all your piping concerns. We are dedicated to providing the best plumbing solutions for our neighbors in the Cedar Park community.

The lifespan of your plumbing pipes depends heavily on the materials used and the quality of the local water supply. Galvanized steel pipes, commonly found in older homes, usually last about 40 to 50 years before they corrode significantly. Copper pipes are much more durable and can reliably serve a home for 50 to 70 years or even longer. PEX is a newer material, but it is expected to last for at least 40 to 50 years under normal residential conditions. We can perform a professional inspection of your visible pipes to estimate their remaining service life for you. Our goal is to help you plan for future upgrades before an emergency leak occurs in your home.

Environmental factors like soil acidity and high water pressure can also impact the longevity of your home’s piping. Hard water minerals can build up inside pipes over many years, eventually leading to restricted flow and increased pressure stress. If you live in an area with particularly aggressive water, your pipes may need replacement sooner than the national average. We use our local knowledge of Cedar Park’s water systems to provide the most accurate advice for your property. Regular maintenance and pressure monitoring are the best ways to extend the life of your existing plumbing infrastructure. We provide honest recommendations on whether a simple repair or a full repipe is the best value for your situation. Trusting a professional ensures that your home remains safe and your water stays clean for your family.

Signs that your pipes are reaching the end of their life include frequent leaks, rusty water, and a drop in water pressure. You might also notice a metallic taste in your water or visible corrosion on the joints under your sinks. If your home was built more than 40 years ago, it is a good idea to have a professional plumber evaluate your system. We provide free estimates and clear, honest pricing for all piping and repiping projects in the local area. Investing in new pipes is a valuable improvement that increases the worth and safety of your property. Our team is dedicated to providing a 5-star experience from the initial inspection to the final installation. We are the trusted experts in residential piping that Central Texas families rely on for quality and integrity.

A pipe manifold is a central distribution hub for your home’s water system, most commonly used with PEX piping. It allows you to run a dedicated line to every single fixture in your house from a single, centralized location. This setup means that there are no hidden joints behind your walls, which significantly reduces the risk of leaks over time. Manifolds also allow you to shut off the water to a single sink or shower without affecting the rest of the house. This is an incredibly convenient feature for making repairs or upgrades to your home’s plumbing in the future. We can install a manifold system as part of a full repipe or a new construction project for you.

Manifold systems are particularly popular in modern Cedar Park homes because they offer consistent water pressure to all fixtures. Since each line is a direct run, you don’t lose pressure when multiple faucets are being used at once. We ensure that the manifold is installed in an accessible location like a laundry room or a dedicated utility closet. Our technicians are highly skilled at the precise labeling and connection required for these advanced piping systems. We use high-quality, professional-grade manifolds that are built to last for the life of your home. Choosing a manifold system is a great way to improve the reliability and serviceability of your plumbing infrastructure. We provide expert advice on whether this setup is right for your specific home layout and budget.

While a manifold is a fantastic upgrade, it does require more piping material and a different installation technique than traditional systems. We provide a clear breakdown of the costs and benefits of a manifold versus a standard trunk-and-branch layout for your home. Our 20 years of experience allow us to design the most efficient and effective system for your household’s daily needs. We follow all manufacturer specifications to ensure that your PEX manifold system is secure and code-compliant. Our goal is to provide a 5-star service experience that makes your home’s plumbing smarter and more reliable. You can count on Whitestone Plumbing for honest answers and elite technical service on all piping projects. We are dedicated to providing the best modern plumbing solutions for our local neighbors and clients.

Yes, we specialize in finding and fixing hidden pipe leaks behind walls and under floors with minimal disruption to your home. We use non-invasive technology like thermal imaging and acoustic sensors to pinpoint the exact location of the break. This prevents us from having to guess and make multiple unnecessary holes in your beautiful drywall or cabinetry. Once the leak is found, we provide a clear and honest price for the necessary professional repair work. Our goal is to be as efficient as possible while ensuring that your home’s plumbing is restored to a safe condition. Protecting your property from water damage is our primary concern during these diagnostic service calls.

Hidden leaks are often caused by failing joints, aging materials, or accidental damage from other home improvement projects. You might notice a damp spot on the wall, a musty odor, or an unexplained spike in your monthly water bill. We recommend calling a professional the moment you suspect a moisture issue to prevent mold growth and structural damage. Our technicians are experts at navigating the tight spaces inside residential walls to perform precise and secure repairs. We use high-quality materials to ensure that the fix is permanent and that your home stays dry for years. A professional repair also includes a thorough pressure test to verify that the system is completely watertight. Trusting a professional ensures the job is done right without causing hidden damage to your home.

After the plumbing is fixed, we leave the area ready for your drywall or painting contractor to finish the cosmetic work. We clean up all our debris and ensure that the workspace is spotless before we consider the job finished. Our team provides detailed documentation of the repair for your home records or for insurance claims if needed. We value the trust you place in us and work hard to provide a 5-star experience every time you call. Our 20 years of experience allow us to handle even the most challenging hidden leak scenarios with confidence and skill. We are proud to be the preferred plumbing company for homeowners throughout the Cedar Park region. You can rely on Whitestone Plumbing for honest advice and expert technical service for all your piping needs.

Low water pressure throughout the entire house is often caused by a failing pressure-reducing valve (PRV) or a leak in the main service line. The PRV is a device that regulates the high-pressure water from the city to a safe level for your home’s pipes. If this valve becomes stuck or fails, it can severely restrict the flow of water into your entire plumbing system. We can quickly test the performance of your PRV and replace it if necessary to restore your home’s water pressure. Our technicians check the main shut-off valve as well to ensure it is fully open and not obstructed by debris. We provide clear pricing and honest answers for all your water pressure concerns in the local area.

Corrosion and mineral buildup inside older pipes can also lead to a gradual and widespread drop in water pressure over time. As the interior diameter of the pipes narrows, less water can travel through to your fixtures and appliances at once. This is particularly common in homes with original galvanized steel piping that is reaching the end of its useful life. In these cases, a professional repiping project is often the only permanent way to restore the original performance of your plumbing. We offer free estimates and honest recommendations on the best path forward for your specific home and budget. Our team uses high-quality materials to ensure that your new system provides excellent pressure and flow for decades. We are the trusted experts in residential piping that Central Texas families rely on for quality work.

A hidden leak in your main water service line under the yard can also cause a significant and sudden drop in pressure. This type of leak can be hard to spot but may lead to soggy patches in your lawn or a spinning water meter. We use specialized detection equipment to find these underground issues without digging up your entire property for you. Once the leak is found, we provide a professional repair that restores your water pressure and stops the waste. Our 5-star service commitment means we prioritize these major pressure issues to get your home back to normal quickly. We value your business and work hard to maintain our reputation for technical excellence and customer satisfaction. Trust Whitestone Plumbing to solve your most challenging water pressure problems with integrity and skill.

The main water line is the primary pipe owned by the city that carries water under the street to your entire neighborhood. The service line is the specific pipe that connects this city main to your home’s water meter and eventually your interior plumbing. As a homeowner, you are typically responsible for the maintenance and repair of the service line from the meter to your house. This line is buried underground and is subjected to soil movement, root intrusion, and chemical corrosion over many years. We provide professional installation and repair services for these critical underground water service lines for our neighbors. Our team ensures that your service line is buried at the correct depth and made of durable, code-compliant materials.

If your service line fails, it can lead to a massive loss of water and potential damage to your home’s foundation and yard. Signs of a failing service line include low indoor pressure, soggy areas in the lawn, or a high water bill. We use non-invasive technology to locate leaks in these buried pipes without having to excavate your entire property. If the line needs replacement, we can often use “trenchless” methods to install a new pipe with minimal disruption to your landscaping. This modern approach saves you time and money while providing a high-quality and long-lasting result for your home. We follow all local building codes and safety regulations for every underground piping project we undertake for our clients. Trusting a professional ensures that your home’s water connection remains secure and reliable for decades.

Choosing the right materials for a new service line is essential for its long-term performance in the Central Texas soil. We use high-density poly or type K copper piping that is resistant to corrosion and designed for direct burial in our local earth. Our technicians ensure that every connection is perfectly sealed and pressure-tested before we backfill any trenches on your property. We take pride in the quality of our underground work and the durability of the systems we build for our neighbors. Our 5-star service includes a thorough cleanup and a final walkthrough to ensure you are satisfied with the project. Ben Helton and our team are dedicated to providing the best plumbing and safety solutions for the Cedar Park community. You can rely on us for the most professional and reliable water service line installations and repairs available.

Hiring a licensed plumber for piping work ensures that your home’s water system is safe, efficient, and fully code-compliant. Piping involves complex physics and high-stakes safety requirements that only a trained professional can handle correctly and reliably for you. A licensed plumber has passed rigorous exams and maintains ongoing education to stay current on the latest safety standards and technologies. They also carry the necessary liability insurance to protect you and your property in the unlikely event of an accident. Unlicensed work is not only dangerous but can lead to significant fines from the city and the denial of insurance claims. Your family’s safety is far too important to trust to anyone other than a qualified and experienced professional plumber.

Licensed professionals have access to high-quality materials and specialized tools that are not available to the general public at hardware stores. We use commercial-grade fittings and pipes that are designed to last for several decades under standard residential use. Our experience allows us to identify the best materials and layouts for your home to ensure long-term durability and performance. We also handle the entire permit process, ensuring that your installation is recorded and inspected by the local building authorities. This documentation is essential if you ever decide to sell your home or need to make a future insurance claim. We provide a 5-star service experience that reflects our commitment to the highest professional and ethical standards in the industry. Trusting a professional gives you the peace of mind that your home’s infrastructure is secure and reliable.

At Whitestone Plumbing, we take our responsibility as licensed piping installers very seriously for every client we help in Cedar Park.
