Second time I’ve used Ben and he was excellent again. I had a leaky hot-water connection to my washer and water was spraying everywhere (a DIY attempt made it worse). Ben immediately understood what was happening, gave me a quote on the spot, and the final price matched the quote exactly. He arrived right at 7:00am and fixed the issue quickly and professionally. He’s been a plumber for 15+ years and owns the company, so it’s great working directly with the owner/master plumber. Reasonable pricing, great communication, and quality work. Highly recommend. 1st review Ben was fantastic. He was quick to respond, up front about his pricing and on-time. I was very impressed by his knowledge and his willingness to do a better than good job. Would I hire him again? Absolutely. A good guy, a good job, and good pricing. Just what you’re looking for in a plumber. And he cleaned up after himself!
The team is great, and the owner/operator Harley, answered my call and set up a time with me on a Sunday! We discussed my hot water heater, and they will also handle my other plumbing needs in the future, including ongoing water heater maintenance.
Our son just bought his first house and wouldn’t you know it, the first night we spent there, the sewer line backed up and overflowed. On a Sunday morning, we called Whitestone Plumbing. We randomly picked them because they were close and it looked like the owner was actually the person doing the work. In fact, Harley(Ben), the owner answered our call and said he would be there in less than 2 hours. Remember, this is Sunday morning. He arrived early, did not charge extra for a weekend call and quickly found the issue using state of the art equipment. He got us up and running quickly and scheduled a day to come back and fix the problem (roots in the sewer line). That was done just like he said he would and we didn’t even have to be there. Harley was very professional, did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it and we feel his prices were very fair. We are from a small town and have grown to expect this kind of service. We never expected to find this in a large metropolitan area, but that’s exactly what we got with Whitestone Plumbing. We highly recommend this business and will not hesitate to call again for our plumbing needs.
I called Whitestone Plumbing for an urgent job for my leaking main line. They showed up in 1 hr and fixed the issue professionally! Great service.
This was the best experience I’ve ever had with a plumber. I accidentally broke my PRV valve while trying to adjust my home’s water pressure and found myself in a bind on a Sunday. Whitestone Plumbing responded quickly and arrived within an hour of my call. The plumber was knowledgeable, efficient, and fixed the issue right away. The pricing was very reasonable, and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend Whitestone Plumbing to anyone looking for a reliable, honest, and professional plumber.
Ben from Whitestone Plumbing was really nice, very attentive and responsive. He got here and was in and out in maybe 20 minutes. It was such an easy experience, and he was just a really nice person overall. He took care of the issue right away and even mentioned he wouldn’t charge me if he wasn’t able to unclog my toilet, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend Whitestone Plumbing!
Ben was amazing! He showed up exactly when he said he would. Was courteous and professional and answered all my questions. He was able to clear a drain that someone else wasn't able to clear. He located the issue (my AC drains to that sink!), worked hard to clear the clog, then showed me how I could do maintenance to keep it clear. VERY fair pricing as well. Would definitely call him again!
Ben helped me cleaned the washer drainage today. He is punctual , professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. It’s rare to find someone this reliable and skilled. Highly recommend to anyone in need of a trustworthy plumber! I couldn’t be happier with the service I received!
Ben is fantastic! Called on a Sunday afternoon and he was able to arrive within 30 minutes. And he also gave me a quote over the phone after I described my problem. Fast and reliable!
Best plumber ever. My instance Whitestone was 1/2 of the quotes i got from 3 others. Previous home owners had installed a water softener and done the piping themselves. It was poorly done, overly complicated and looked like hammered crap. I sent Whitestone pics of the spaghetti install. Whitestone replaced and upgraded the pvc nightmare to copper. As an aside, i don't normally trust service repair persons to be there when I am not home. I had no issues with Whitestone. Would easily give them the key and let them work when I wasn't home. Also, they cleaned up their mess. I have had electricians and plumbers make a mess, leave it, and insist it's not their problem. Whitestone treated my home like their own.
Ben is FANTASTIC! Showed up promptly, was reasonable with his pricing and did high quality work. I already know who I am calling for my next repairs and projects. Great personable guy doing what is right by his customers. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Great experience with Ben! He came out at the end of the day to address a leaking water heater. He got here quickly and did quality work. Highly recommend!
Whitestone is awesome! Our shower would not turn off we had to shut the water to our house off and needed someone to come out immediately. They came out right away, fixed the problem, and were kind and efficient! Highly recommend!
I had the please to have Ben with WHITESTONE PLUMBING come out to my house to see what caused the water leak I had. He conducted his inspection and provided me with an estimate. I will come back to him to replace my water heater. Ben is very professional, polite, well dressed and easy going guy. I recommend highly. Linda
Fantastic experience. I had a plumbing emergency on Sunday and they were able to come out immediately. They did great work, were super friendly, and had a reasonable price. I love supporting local businesses and plan on using Whitestone Plumbing for all my future plumbing needs!!
Had a small indoor plumbing issue, and despite the lack of urgency, Whitestone Plumbing was able to get us in same day, within a few hours of calling. They gave us a very fair price. Our issue was fixed in minutes. I could not be happier; would recommend and will use again in the future.
Fantastic service. Called on a Friday afternoon and was at the front door in less than 30 minutes. Fixed my problem quickly and effectively with great communication. Would definitely recommend. Will be using Whitestone in the future.
10/10 top notch service from a locally owned business. Had an emergency water heater replacement after our old one went kaput. Ben is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, honest and kind. He gave us great tips on proper maintenance to get the most out of our new water heater and was happy to answer all of our questions. He made sure all questions were answered before he left. We are very confident with Ben’s work and will continue doing business with Whitestone plumbing might we need them. Thanks again!
Had an RPZ crack by the outside spigot which started dumping water all over my yard. I called Whitestone Plumbing and they immediately came out to stop the leak. That same day they had a replacement part ordered and scheduled for a couple days later. I couldn't be happier with the service.
I called about a replacing a faucet in my spare bathroom. Ben diagnosed the problem and offered a variety of solutions. I would use Whitestone for any job big or small.
Great communication, very prompt service timing and good pricing. Thank you again for your help!
We were experiencing really low water pressure in our master bathroom faucets, and Whitestone came out the next business day. Within an hour, the problem was fixed without using any of the parts they thought might be needed. Very honest, reliable, and happy to answer other plumbing questions we had!
Ben was awesome in about every way! I had a pipe freeze and he came right on over and had it fixed in no time. Highly recommended!!!!!!
We had an outdoor pipe crack during the recent freeze and had water gushing out causing a flood in our yard. I'm so glad we called Whitestone plumbing. Having your water shut off for any period of time can be awful but thanks to them we were up and running in no time. The service was excellent and they were so friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely use them for our future needs. Thanks again so much for taking care of our family when we were in such a bind.
Great service, fast, and keeps you up to date. I definately would recomend to a friend.

Drain Cleaning in Cedar Park, TX
Kitchen sinks frequently succumb to the buildup of cooking oils and food particles over several years. These substances solidify inside the lines and trap other debris, eventually leading to a complete stop. Our drain cleaning process involves scouring the interior walls of the pipe to remove this thick sludge. We avoid harsh chemicals that can damage your pipes or harm the local environment. Instead, we use mechanical snakes and high-pressure water to achieve a pristine clean. This method is safe for all types of piping, including older cast iron or modern PVC. You will notice an immediate improvement in how quickly your sink bowls empty. A clean drain also eliminates the foul odors that often emanate from decaying organic matter.
Bathroom drains face a different set of challenges, primarily consisting of hair and soap scum. These materials bind together to create a dense mat that a simple plunger cannot move. We use specialized augers designed to retrieve or break up these specific types of bathroom clogs. Our technicians work carefully to protect your porcelain fixtures and chrome finishes from any scratches. We often find that a slow shower drain is a symptom of a deeper issue in the branch line. By cleaning the line thoroughly, we prevent the water from backing up and causing a slip hazard. Regular maintenance in the bathroom keeps your morning routine running without the frustration of standing water. We provide tips on how to use drain screens to keep hair out of your plumbing.
Laundry room drains are prone to lint accumulation and soap residue that can cause a flood. When a washing machine discharges, it sends a large volume of water into the drain very quickly. If the line is partially restricted, the water will overflow onto your floor and cause property damage. We check these high-volume lines to ensure they can handle the maximum output of your appliances. Our team also inspects the standpipe and p-trap for any signs of venting issues. Proper venting is crucial for drains to flow at their designed speed without gurgling sounds. We make sure every part of the drainage system is breathing and flowing correctly. Your peace of mind is our priority when we service these critical utility areas.
Floor drains in basements or garages often get ignored until a heavy rain or a leak occurs. These drains are designed to protect your home from flooding by directing water to the sewer. Over time, dirt and debris from the floor can settle in the trap and block the passage. We flush these drains and ensure the traps are primed with water to block sewer gases. Keeping floor drains clear is an essential part of a comprehensive home maintenance plan. Our experts can quickly identify if a floor drain is connected to a sump pump or the main sewer. We provide the right cleaning method for each specific application in your Cedar Park home. Preventing a flood is always more cost-effective than cleaning up after one happens.
Main sewer lines are the most critical part of your home’s drainage infrastructure. Every fixture in your house relies on this single large pipe to carry waste away to the city. Tree roots are a common culprit for main line blockages in established Texas neighborhoods. Roots seek out the moisture inside the pipes and enter through tiny cracks or joints. Once inside, they grow rapidly and create a massive web that catches all household waste. We use heavy-duty equipment to cut through these roots and restore the full capacity of the line. If we suspect structural damage, we can perform a camera inspection to see the interior. This allows us to provide an honest assessment of whether cleaning or repair is needed.
Older homes in our area may still have galvanized or clay pipes that are prone to internal scaling. This scaling creates a rough surface that snags toilet paper and other solids as they pass. We use specialized descaling tools to smooth out the interior of these aging pipes. This process can add years of life to your existing plumbing without the need for a full replacement. Our technicians are highly skilled at navigating the complex turns of older drainage systems. We take the time to do the job right the first time, ensuring lasting results for your family. Honesty and integrity are at the core of every recommendation we make for your home. We never upsell a service that your plumbing system does not actually require.
Professional drain cleaning is an investment in the longevity of your entire plumbing system. Frequent use of store-bought liquid cleaners can actually weaken your pipes and lead to leaks. Our mechanical cleaning methods are much more effective and completely safe for your household infrastructure. We provide a 5-star service experience by combining technical expertise with elite customer care. Ben Helton oversees our operations to ensure every client is treated with fairness and transparency. We are proud to be the preferred plumbing company for homeowners throughout the Cedar Park region. Our 20 years of experience mean we can handle any drainage challenge with confidence and skill. We are ready to help you restore the flow to your home.

A top-rated service provider uses advanced diagnostic tools to identify the root cause of every clog. Skilled plumbers avoid using damaging chemicals and instead rely on mechanical methods for better results. Clear pricing ensures that homeowners feel confident and respected throughout the entire service process. The company should be licensed and insured to provide peace of mind to the local community. Using professional-grade equipment ensures the lines are scoured clean rather than just temporarily opened. Technicians should have extensive experience with various drainage systems including kitchen, bath, and main sewer lines. Good communication helps the customer understand how to prevent future blockages through better habits. A 5-star service includes a clean job site and a thorough test of the water flow. Ownership should be local to ensure a deep commitment to high quality and neighborhood standards.
Most Common Drain Cleaning Questions
Homeowners often have questions about how to maintain their drains and when to call a professional for help. Here are the most frequent inquiries we receive regarding drain cleaning and maintenance in the local area.
Slow drainage in a kitchen sink is usually caused by a buildup of fats, oils, and grease inside the lines. These substances are liquid when hot but solidify as they cool down inside your cold plumbing pipes. Over time, this grease acts like glue, catching food particles and creating a thick, stubborn obstruction. Even if you have a garbage disposal, small pieces of food can contribute to this organic sludge. We recommend never pouring grease down the drain and instead collecting it in a separate container. Sometimes the issue is a clogged p-trap, which is the curved pipe located directly under your sink. Our technicians can quickly disassemble the trap and clear the blockage to restore normal flow.
Another common cause of slow kitchen drains is the accumulation of un-dissolved dishwasher detergent in the pipes. High-efficiency detergents can sometimes create a waxy buildup if they are not flushed with enough hot water. This material narrows the pipe diameter and slows the exit of water from the sink and dishwasher. We use high-pressure water to flush these deposits out and leave the pipes completely clear. Our team also checks the air gap or high loop in your dishwasher drain hose to ensure proper function. If your sink gurgles when the dishwasher runs, it is a sign of a venting or blockage issue. We provide a thorough inspection to ensure every part of your kitchen plumbing is working together.
Clear drains make your kitchen more hygienic and much more pleasant for your family to use every day. We offer professional cleaning that addresses the entire run of the pipe from the sink to the main. Our team uses specialized tools that are far more effective than anything found at a hardware store. We ensure that your sink drains at its original speed so you can get back to your routine. After we clear the line, we provide advice on how to keep it that way for years. Our goal is to prevent the frustration of standing water while you are trying to clean. Trusting a professional ensures that the pipe is truly clean and not just temporarily opened. We stand behind every drain cleaning job with our commitment to providing 5-star service.
We generally advise against using liquid chemical drain cleaners found in most local retail stores. These products use harsh acids or caustic bases to dissolve clogs, which can generate significant heat. This heat can actually soften or warp PVC pipes and damage the seals in your plumbing fixtures. If the chemicals do not clear the clog, they sit in the pipe and continue to eat away at the material. This creates a dangerous situation for a plumber who has to clear the line later and might get splashed. Chemical cleaners are also notorious for only creating a small hole in the clog rather than removing it. This means the drain will likely back up again in a very short amount of time.
Over time, repeated use of chemicals can lead to thin spots and eventual leaks in older metal pipes. It is much better to invest in a professional cleaning that removes the root cause of the blockage. Our methods use no hazardous chemicals, making them safe for your family, pets, and the environment. We use physical force and water pressure to restore your pipes to like-new condition. If you have a septic system, chemical cleaners can also kill the beneficial bacteria that break down waste. This can lead to expensive repairs and backups in your yard or drain field. Our licensed technicians provide honest answers about the best way to care for your specific plumbing system.
Trusting a professional ensures the job is done right without causing hidden damage to your home. We use mechanical snakes and augers that physically remove the obstruction rather than just melting a small path. This ensures that the entire interior of the pipe is clear of debris and sludge. We take the time to inspect the line to ensure it is structurally sound before we finish. You avoid the risk of chemical burns or ruined fixtures by calling a licensed plumber first. Our technicians are trained to handle even the most stubborn clogs without using dangerous substances. Your safety and the health of your plumbing are our primary concerns during every visit. We provide a much more reliable and long-lasting solution than any bottle of cleaner.
A main sewer line clog is a serious issue that affects every plumbing fixture in your house. The most common sign is water backing up into your tubs or showers when you flush a toilet. You might also hear a gurgling sound coming from the drains when you run the washing machine. If multiple fixtures are draining slowly at the same time, the problem is likely in the main line. Sometimes, you may notice a foul sewage smell coming from your floor drains or even outside near your foundation. In extreme cases, raw sewage can back up into the lowest drains in your home. This is a health hazard that requires immediate professional intervention from a licensed and insured plumber.
Exterior signs of a sewer clog include patches of unusually green or lush grass in your yard. This can indicate that sewage is leaking out of a broken pipe and fertilizing the ground above. You might also notice soggy spots or a persistent odor of sewer gas in your outdoor living spaces. We use specialized camera equipment to see exactly what is happening inside your underground sewer lines. This allows us to determine if the blockage is caused by roots, a collapse, or a simple accumulation of debris. Once we have a clear picture, we provide an honest recommendation for the most effective repair. Our goal is to fix the problem permanently so you do not have to worry about future backups.
We prioritize these sewer line calls to protect your home from contamination and significant water damage. Dealing with a main line backup requires specialized equipment and heavy-duty drain machines that we carry on our trucks. Our team has over 20 years of experience navigating the sewer systems of the Cedar Park area. We work quickly to restore your service so your family can use the restrooms and showers safely. After clearing the line, we can provide a video record of the interior to prove the work is done. This transparency is a key part of our commitment to honest and reliable plumbing services. We make sure your main line is free of all obstructions before we leave the job site. You can trust Whitestone Plumbing for a 5-star response to your most complex drainage issues.
For most residential properties, a professional drain cleaning every one to two years is a great preventative measure. This helps remove the gradual buildup of grease, hair, and soap scum before they turn into emergencies. If you live in an older home with original piping, you may benefit from more frequent cleanings. Older pipes often have rougher surfaces that catch debris more easily than modern smooth plastic. Regular maintenance is much cheaper and less stressful than dealing with a sudden overflow on a weekend. We can set up a recurring schedule that fits the specific needs and age of your home. Our team provides a thorough report after each cleaning so you know the condition of your plumbing.
Commercial properties or homes with many occupants might need drain cleaning every six months for best results. High-volume kitchens or large families put a lot more stress on the drainage system than a single-person household. We look for signs of early blockages during our routine inspections to save you time and money. Our technicians can identify which lines are most vulnerable based on your specific daily habits. For example, if you cook frequently, your kitchen lines will need more attention than your guest bathroom. We tailor our services to provide the most value for your particular situation in the local area. Preventative care also extends the life of your garbage disposal and other water-using appliances.
Staying ahead of clogs keeps your home running smoothly and prevents unexpected repair costs in the future. We use our experience to predict where problems might occur based on your home’s layout and age. Our maintenance plans are designed to give you peace of mind throughout the entire year. You will receive a 5-star service experience every time our licensed technicians visit your property. We believe that an ounce of prevention is worth a gallon of backup cleanup. We use high-quality tools that leave your pipes in the best possible condition after every visit. Our team is dedicated to providing honest advice and elite technical care for every neighbor. Trust Whitestone Plumbing to keep your home’s drainage system flowing perfectly month after month.
Yes, tree roots are one of the most common and destructive causes of sewer line blockages. Roots are naturally attracted to the moisture and nutrients found inside your sewer pipes. They can enter through even the smallest cracks or loose joints in older clay or cast iron lines. Once a single root tip gets inside, it branches out into a thick mass that acts like a filter. This mass catches toilet paper, grease, and other waste, eventually leading to a complete blockage of the line. As the roots grow larger, they can actually crack or shatter the pipe from the inside out. We use specialized root-cutting blades on our drain machines to clear these obstructions effectively.
If you have large trees near your sewer line, you are at a higher risk for this type of issue. We can perform a camera inspection to see the extent of the root intrusion without digging up your yard. This non-invasive method gives you a clear look at the health of your underground infrastructure. Some homeowners choose to have their lines treated with a root inhibitor to slow down future growth. We provide honest advice on whether this is a viable option for your specific type of piping. Our goal is to provide a solution that balances cost-effectiveness with long-term reliability for your home. We understand how important your landscaping is and work to minimize any disruption to your yard.
You can count on our 20 years of experience to handle root issues with precision and care. We know which tree species in Texas are most likely to cause problems for residential sewer systems. If the roots have caused structural failure, we offer clear options for repair or full pipe replacement. Our team is backflow licensed and certified to ensure the job is done according to all safety codes. We provide a detailed estimate before any digging or advanced work begins on your property. Every root-clearing job is backed by our commitment to high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. We want to ensure your sewer line remains clear for many years after our visit. Trust the experts at Whitestone Plumbing for a permanent solution to your root problems.
If your toilet starts to overflow, the first thing you should do is turn off the water supply valve. This valve is usually located behind the toilet near the floor and stops more water from entering. If you cannot turn the valve, you can lift the lid off the tank and push the flapper down. This will stop the flush and prevent the water level in the bowl from rising any further. Once the water is stopped, use towels to soak up any liquid on the floor to prevent damage. Do not try to flush the toilet again, as this will only cause another overflow. Call us immediately so we can clear the blockage and ensure the line is fully open.
Most toilet clogs are caused by too much paper or foreign objects like wipes being flushed down. Even “flushable” wipes often do not break down quickly enough and can snag in the pipes. We use professional closet augers to clear toilet clogs without damaging the porcelain or the internal seals. Our technicians check the wax ring at the base of the toilet to ensure it hasn’t been compromised. A leaking wax ring can lead to subfloor rot and expensive structural repairs if left unaddressed. We make sure the toilet is securely reset and flushing perfectly before we consider the job finished. Our team also checks the downstream lines to ensure the blockage didn’t just move further away.
We provide fast response times for these messy emergencies to keep your home sanitary and safe. Our licensed and insured plumbers arrive with the right tools to handle any toilet backup quickly. We treat your bathroom with respect and clean up thoroughly after the repair is complete. Our goal is to provide a 5-star experience even during a stressful plumbing event. We offer honest pricing so you never have to worry about hidden fees during an emergency. Ben Helton ensures that every technician follows our high standards for technical excellence and customer service. You can rely on us to fix the problem correctly the first time. We are the trusted plumbing experts for families throughout the Cedar Park community.
A rotten egg smell usually indicates that sewer gases are escaping from your drainage system into your home. This often happens when a p-trap has dried out because the fixture has not been used in a long time. The water in the trap acts as a seal that prevents gases from traveling up from the sewer. Simply running water into the drain for a minute or two will usually resolve this specific issue. If the smell persists, there may be a buildup of organic matter or a venting problem in the system. Bacteria thrive in the moist environment of a dirty drain and produce gases as they break down waste. We can professionally clean the drain and sanitize the line to eliminate these unpleasant odors.
If you smell sewer gas throughout the house, there could be a break in a vent pipe. Sewer gas contains methane and other substances that can be harmful if inhaled in large quantities over time. Our experts use specialized methods to find the exact source of any gas leaks in your home. We check the roof vents to ensure they are not blocked by debris or bird nests. Proper venting is essential for both the safety of your family and the efficiency of your plumbing. We provide clear answers and fast repairs to keep your indoor air quality high and your home fresh. You should never ignore persistent sewer smells, as they are a sign of a malfunctioning drainage system.
Our team is highly experienced in diagnosing and resolving complex sewer odor issues for local homeowners. We take a systematic approach to ensure we find the root cause rather than just masking the smell. Sometimes a failing wax ring on a toilet can allow gases to seep into the bathroom. We inspect every possible exit point to provide you with a comprehensive and reliable solution. Our 5-star service means we don’t stop until your home is safe and comfortable again. We offer free estimates and honest recommendations for any necessary repairs to your venting or pipes. Trust Whitestone Plumbing to handle your sewer gas concerns with the highest level of professionalism. We are dedicated to providing the best plumbing care in the Cedar Park area.
The best way to prevent garbage disposal clogs is to be mindful of what you put down. Avoid fibrous foods like celery, corn husks, and potato peels, which can wrap around the rotating blades. You should also never put eggshells or coffee grounds down the disposal, as they create a sandy sludge. Always run cold water before, during, and for thirty seconds after you use the disposal unit. This helps carry the ground-up food all the way out to the main sewer line properly. Do not overfill the unit; feed food in small batches to ensure it is processed completely. If the disposal makes a humming sound but does not spin, it may be jammed by a hard object.
We provide professional disposal repair and cleaning to keep your kitchen running smoothly every single day. If your disposal smells bad, you can grind up small pieces of lemon or lime peel to freshen it. We also recommend occasionally grinding up some ice cubes to help scour the internal components of the unit. Never use harsh chemicals in your disposal, as they can damage the metal and rubber parts inside. If the unit is leaking from the bottom, it usually means the internal seals have failed completely. We offer professional installation of high-quality disposals that are quieter and more powerful than standard models. Our team ensures the plumbing connections are tight and the unit is properly integrated.
We provide honest pricing and expert advice on which disposal model is right for your cooking habits. Our goal is to help you maintain a clean and efficient kitchen through proper appliance care. Our technicians are experts at resolving disposal jams and leaks without causing further damage to your sink. We take the time to explain the best maintenance practices so you can avoid future service calls. Trusting a professional ensures that your disposal is installed safely and functions at its maximum potential. We stand behind our work with a commitment to 5-star service for every client in Cedar Park. Keep your kitchen clean and efficient with help from the experienced team at Whitestone Plumbing. We are here to help with all your kitchen plumbing needs.
